Skin Type 1 (10 to 15 points)

Skin Type 2 (16 to 25 points)

Celtic Type

Very sensitive (approx. 2% of all central Europeans)

People with very fair skin and often with red hair and freckles who cannot tan and burn in sunlight

We recommend these customers should not tan on a sunbed or outdoors. They should use full SPF protection. We supply the best fake tanning products for these customers.

Light Skinned European

Sensitive (approx., 12% of all central Europeans)

People with fairish skin who do tan but burn easily in the early stages and need to be patient.

We recommend these customers should be very careful with exposure times and use tan accelerators to increase melanin as well as an amplifier whilst on a sunbed.

Skin Type 3 (26 to 35 points)

Skin Type 4 (36 to 40 points)

Dark skinned European

Normally sensitive (approx., 78% of all central Europeans)

People with brownish white skin who tan fairly easily but can burn if overexposed.

Even though they tan easily, they should respect the fact that they can still burn, especially without a base tan. We recommend these customers use amplifying and accelerating lotions and should build up a good base tan before increasing exposure times.

Mediterranean Type

Very resistant (approx. 8% of all central Europeans)

People with dark skin who tan easily and hardly ever burn, but even so need to be careful that they don't go through prolonged over exposure.

We recommend these customers never allow themselves more than the full recommended session time. Accelerators and amplifiers are ideal.
